Today I want to give a big shoutout and thank you to my beloved personal coach Evelyn. We’re coming up on our anniversary of working together, and I can only hope that my words here will scratch the surface of doing justice for what our experience together has done for me.
One of my biggest fears in life is being seen as a fraud and as a failure, and as someone who owns a business and is in a leadership role that demands my best everyday for my staff and clients, it is my distinct belief that constantly working on improving myself as a person and in my position of responsibility to others is both a good idea but even a moral obligation. I ask a lot of my clients to believe in the process and commitment of improving themselves, and as a result I know I must ask the same of myself because hypocrisy is my version of a cardinal sin.
Over my time working with Evelyn, I’ve been continually challenged to confront my weaknesses, address my fears, and implored to look deeper at defining my values and what my purpose is. As a result, I have become a better communicator, a better listener, a better partner, and I believe a better man who is always moving towards my version of my ideal self. This has translated into a growing business with new opportunities set up for long term sustainable success, I finally stopped putting off marrying the woman of my dreams, Lexi, I’ve taken my first 2 week vacation in a decade, and I finally know what I want and how to get there. In short, I have finally felt my version of personal freedom, and it was worth every moment of the struggle.
For anyone who is reading this that is feeling stagnant in their role as a leader, who is actually ready to cut the BS and face their obstacles once and for all, you will find an amazing guide in Evelyn and her company Successful Change Inc.
The first time I ever heard the quote “what got you here, isn’t what will get you to the next level” was from Alex Hermozi and I believe it to be 100% true. There is always room for growth, only you can decide if you’re willing to walk the path to achieve it.
With all the gratitude in my heart, much love 🙂 – Leb
