We get it, society has us thinking that the word “detox” really just means you’re going to be spending all of your time in the bathroom and will be starving because you’re only drinking different colored juices for a month.. Wrong.
It’s not that kind of detox.
This nutrition program was created to keep you full, give your body energy and nutrients, and promote gut health.
Knowledge bomb: those chemicals in our brain that make us anxious or depressed, those are made in our gut. Additionally those hormones that make our skin break out, also made in our gut.
Although following this plan will inevitably make you lose weight, that’s not all we’re after here. It’s more of an “all encompassing life transformation,” if you will.
So, wondering where or how you’ll even be able to make this big change? We’ve got a few tips right here to make sure that you’re successful.
Eat The Elephant One Bite At A Time
Looking at an entire portal with what seems like endless recipes, some with ingredients you’ve never heard of, while thinking about doing at home workouts can have you feeling extremely overwhelmed. But here’s the thing: you need to take this one step at a time.
First pick a few meals from breakfast, lunch, and dinner and commit to those for the first couple weeks. Then, head to the grocery store with your grocery list, and guys, even if you’ve never heard of a one of these ingredients before, ask someone in Market 32 where you can find the item. Don’t buy the extra snacks that look enticing, buy just what the recipe calls for. When you get home, build it out like you would any other meal.
Taking the meal plan one step at a time as opposed to looking at the entire thing and becoming anxious is the first step to success within the program.
Do Not Make Excuses
The idea that your spouse won’t like the recipes, or you’re not sure how to fit this into your budget, or that you don’t know how to convert grams to ounces are self limiting thoughts, and nothing more.
You don’t have to eat the same meal as your husband at dinner tonight, and that doesn’t mean that you don’t have to eat together. If you buy the ingredients that these recipes call for and not all the extra “fluff” (pun intended) that will sit in your cabinets just because you went to the grocery store hungry, you will absolutely see your grocery bill decline. I promise. Also, you guys, google has a grams to ounces converter and it takes less than one second to for the equation to happen once you plug in the information.
We don’t mean to sound like hardasses, really, but here’s the truth: it is our job to hold you to the standard that you have told us that you have set for yourself. We’re not cheerleaders, we’re coaches, and we’re not here to let you make excuses as to why you don’t think you deserve to feel good.
